According to USA Today the University of Arkansas has received a $1 million gift for firing Bobby Petrino...

"The Donald W. Reynolds foundation announced it was donating $1 million to the school to help fund the university's planned Student-Athlete Success Center in reaction to Petrino's removal after he was found to have had an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

In addition, the foundation's chairman, Fred W. Smith, made a personal donation of $250,000 to support the center and rename the university's existing student-athlete development program as the Jeff Long Student-Athlete Development Program."
Smith said in a statement...

"The courageous leadership demonstrated by Jeff Long in the course of recent events has further affirmed our confidence in his leadership and his vision for intercollegiate athletics at the University of Arkansas,""Mr. Long acted with integrity and with the best interests of Razorback student-athletes and the University of Arkansas in mind."

I applaud Arkansas for doing what it had to. However, if the story about Arkansas offering a Petrino a way to stay if he accepted Monetary penalties are true, well..............
