re: The case for Heupel

I think things ended badly when he was coordinator there.

The more people come out saying its Saban makes me more confident it wont be him.

Thats how it works every single time these coaches get hired.

Or he comes in for 3 years and the money folks flood the NIL budget and we go out and buy the best roster imaginable to get him 1 more NC.
If you get a guy like this i'd go get a Sam Pittman or Gus Malzahn to pair with them. Someone who has been an HC at a major university.
Similar to Sean McVay having Wade Phillips when he became the HC for the rams.
That was a lot of big words that really didn't say shite!

Idk why he’s being mentioned more? Is it just lack of years as an HC?

Maybe he’s already “gone”

Rumor has it was with disappearing ink!

Until Graves gives him free chicken tenders for life

Graves will give him 15% ownership of Canes if he comes.

frick him but the program is in a better place than he found it. Period.

This is correct.. While it may have not worked out he somewhat stabilized the program!

"Get the right fit, not the biggest name."by LgWhy wouldn’t y’all throw the bank at Joe Brady? The only problem y’all had this year was your QB and the offense. The best offense I’ve ever seen was your 2019 offense with him calling the plays. He knows everything about LSU and what it takes to win there. JMHO

Rumored he hated recruiting and preferred the NFL.

You can't use Napier's time at Florida as any sort of judgment of who is better because Sumrall has not been in the big time.

It's not apples to apples.. NIL has changed the CFB and Napier didn't deal with that at ULL. I think what is intriguing to most is that Sumrall has been successful but also has been able to navigate getting talent poached and continuing to have success on the field.

Lanning is a pipe dream!

re: Why not Willie Fritz?

He's older than Kelly!
He did it at 2 schools post NIL. That has changed the landscape of CFB
What's hilarious is everyone roasted BK for leaving ND but now freeman is a name they are pushing
To be fair, Davis was recruiting lights out at the time Kelly came on board. I think the idea there was keep Davis to keep Will Campbell and Emery Jones locked up.
Also hired Jay Johnson and Kim Mulkey
