Alabama starting quarterback AJ McCarron will return for his senior season, according to a release from the university. Hopefully he's bringing his mom.
quote:

"There were some factors in my decision to return to Alabama for my senior year but after talking to my family and coaches, I knew it was the right choice for me," he said in a statement.
As for his coach Nick Saban...
quote:

"We are pleased that AJ has decided to return for his senior year next season," UA coach Nick Saban said in the release. "He's done a great job for us and has really grown, not only as a quarterback and a player, but as a leader of our team.

"... He showed very good maturity in looking at all of the factors and making an informed decision on his future. He has a chance to add to what he has already accomplished here while also better preparing himself for the next level."

Hopefully Saban was able to fake being surprised when AJ gave him the news.

No point in leaving a school where you have a good shot of winning another championship and getting a decent education. Unless something horrific or amazing happens, he won't change his draft stock too much and he will still get to ride the pine making a decent salary in the NFL for a few years. I wouldn't leave a place I was king of the world early either.

McCarron is good with an accurate deep ball, but I think Alabama's domination of the line of scrimmage contributes a lot to his success. Play action kills Alabama's opponents

"Aj and he backs up tebow!"
Who went in when Sanchez was benched? I think you are confused.

And there is nothing surprising about this statement. Why would he leave early with nothing to really gain?

Why was there even a press release for this? McElroy > Aj and he backs up tebow!
