The Tennessean is reporting that Vanderbilt quarterback Patton Robinette will end his football career citing health concerns over concussions and his upcoming entrance into medical school.

Robinette told Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason of his decision on Thursday and told teammates Friday.

Robinette will enter Vanderbilt School of Medicine this summer. He plans to study in the field of orthopedics.

"This has been a very difficult decision to make," Robinette said in a news release. "This team means the world to me and I love playing football more than anything. It's been tough coming to a decision that is right for my family and I, and protects my health and future.
Robinette finished spring practice last week as the teams presumed starter.

Translation: I'm not going to get any playing time and Med school is about to start so I don't have time for all of this practice stuff.
