According to Nola.com, Texas A&M will honor retired recruit Cedric Collins scholarship despite a career-ending injury.
quote:

The defensive back committed to Texas A&M in his junior year on August of 2012. That year, he began to lose feeling in his legs. He was later diagnosed with Klippel-Feil syndrome, a "rare congenital fusion of vertebrae."

Texas A&M decided to honor his scholarship and Collins will serve as a student coach so he can continue to get his education.
Collins is from Dallas, TX and played at Skyline High School. On National Signing Day, Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin sent this tweet out:
quote:

Texas A&M Football @AggieFootball
Sumlin: Cedric Collins is a guy that committed to us early & I thought it was important we showed the same commitment #12thMan #SigningDay
Classy move by Kevin Sumlin and the Aggies.
