South Carolina linebacker Marcquis Roberts is expected to transfer according to GoGamecocks.com.

He becomes the 10th scholarship player to leave the program since the end of the 2014 season.

His USC career began with a series of setbacks. A shoulder injury wiped out his freshman season, and a knee injury in the spring ended his second season. But he bounced back in 2013 to start nine of 13 games and compile 48 tackles, fifth on the team.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pound Roberts played in all 13 games in 2014 as a redshirt sophomore, recording 31 tackles and breaking up two passes. He made six starts.
Roberts has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

HailFreezusOver. He will not lose a year of eligibility. Although he most likely will have to sit out a year, that does not count against eligibilty.

he has two seasons of eligibility remaining and he's going to go sit out one of those seasons from transfer.

so the guy will play one season somewhere else. Is it that bad at south carolina? why did all of the committs decomitt and all of the players transfer?

it doesnt make sense. I get that steve spurrier is leaving in a few years, but hes not leaving this year?
