ESPN.com SEC Reporter Edward Aschoff ranked the top five offensive linemen in the SEC for 2017 and pegged Alabama's Jonah Williams at No. 1. Here is what he had to say:
1. Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama
2. Will Clapp, C/OG, LSU
3. Braden Smith, OT, Auburn
4. Frank Ragnow, C, Arkansas
5. Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
quote:Here is the complete Top 5, according to Aschoff:
1. Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama: Even with Cam Robinson playing on the other side of the line, Williams was arguably Alabama's best offensive lineman last year. As a true freshman, Williams started all 15 games for the Crimson Tide at right tackle. He was a freshman All-American and an All-SEC performer in his first season. Now, he's moving over to left tackle, where he should be the anchor of an already fantastic Alabama offensive line. Williams has a ton of strength with those powerful arms, but he's also incredibly agile, which will make him a pain for SEC pass-rushers this fall.
