ESPN writer David Ching ranked the SEC front sevens in his preseason position rankings article last week and pegged Alabama at No. 1.
quote:

1. Alabama: Not much to argue here. The Crimson Tide has size, depth and talent up front led by A'Shawn Robinson, Jonathan Allen and Jarran Reed. They also have one of the SEC’s top linebackers in Reggie Ragland. Alabama must replace Trey DePriest and leading sack man Xzavier Dickson but has several promising options, including Ryan Anderson, ready to claim starting roles.
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ole Miss
4. Tennessee
5. Auburn
6. LSU
7. Missouri
8. Arkansas
9. Florida
10. Texas A&M
11. Mississippi State

Florida should be a little higher here. We've got a deep defensive line, and some studs at LB. Though depth at LB obviously keeps us lower. Still a ton of talent there.

Due to UGA's DL concerns I see why Bama is number one, it will be interesting to see what this looks like after the season.
