Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops announced Monday morning that redshirt sophomore Patrick Towles has been named as the Wildcats’ starting quarterback.
As a true freshman in 2012, Towles played in five games completing 19 of 40 passes for 233 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
He beat out 4-star freshman Drew Barker, redshirt freshman Reese Phillips, and former starter Maxwell Smith.
