Ole Miss DB Tony Conner Out Four Weeks After Meniscus Tear

Ole Miss safety Tony Conner tore the meniscus in his right knee against Alabama on Saturday and will undergo surgery Tuesday. Conner will miss at least four weeks according to head coach Hugh Freeze. Per The Clarion Ledger:
quote:Conner is projected to be a first-round selection in next year's NFL Draft, according to expert Mel Kiper Jr.
"It's going to be a big blow," Rebels cornerback Tony Bridges said. "But we got to keep our head forward and go on with the process."
Conner's likely replacements include true freshman Zedrick Woods, sophomore A.J. Moore and senior Chief Brown, Freeze said. He added that offensive linemen Justin Bell, Robert Conyers and Callaway's Rod Taylor, as well as Bridges, are also dealing with injuries.
