Multiple sources are reporting that LSU redshirt freshman offensive lineman George Brown Jr. will be transferring to another school.

Brown's father and LSU SID Michael Bonnette both confirmed the news, according to the The Advocate:
quote:

“He felt better to go with another staff and go play somewhere else. He’s not mad at LSU,” George Brown Sr. said. “LSU is a great school, great place to be. We love LSU. I’m not the one playing. My son decided he wanted to be somewhere else. He didn't feel that was the place for him. We don't have an issue. We love coach (Les) Miles and all of the staff there. He just decided that he would take his talents other places.”

LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette confirmed the news.
Brown, a 6-7, 290-pound lineman from Cincinnati, Ohio is the eighth LSU player to transfer this offseason. He was originally committed to Florida but flipped his verbal pledge to LSU and signed with the Tigers on National Signing Day.

Penn State, Michigan State, Miami and UCLA could be potential landing spots for Brown who will have to sit out this season.
