According to the police report, Vavlas, 22, was punched by Jeffery Cody Bradford, 23, who was arrested for battery and booked on Sunday into jail.

The report stated the bar was crowded and Vavlas was pushed into some people. Bradford made a comment and then threw the punch, chipping Vavlas' tooth and causing an injury to his nose. Officers later located Bradford a few blocks from the bar and Vavlas identified him.

Bradford was released on Sunday on a $2,500 bond, according to the Athens-Clarke County jail log.

I don't do that, but if I did punch random people, it wouldn't be a football player

I think its drunk tough guy syndrome. Some people are just assholes when they get a belly full. Then they go try to prove it by engaging a football player or a basketball player.

Freakin dawgs players need to stay out of bars after games. How fricking hard is that? You're a target. All players are. Get a six pack and go home. do your partying at home with folks you trust. if you live in a dorm, then go to the home of a friend. Stay the frick out of DT Athens.
