According to the police report, Vavlas, 22, was punched by Jeffery Cody Bradford, 23, who was arrested for battery and booked on Sunday into jail.
The report stated the bar was crowded and Vavlas was pushed into some people. Bradford made a comment and then threw the punch, chipping Vavlas' tooth and causing an injury to his nose. Officers later located Bradford a few blocks from the bar and Vavlas identified him.
Bradford was released on Sunday on a $2,500 bond, according to the Athens-Clarke County jail log.
