Following South Carolina's rocky start to the season, the Gamecocks held a players only meeting this week to discuss the teams recent struggles and to "clear the air". Per USAToday:

“I just told the guys we’ve got to avoid all the things people are saying about us and stop blaming each other or anything like that and just come together as a team,” said senior offensive guard A. J. Cann. “We’re just a couple of plays away from being 5-1.
“I think we will be fine. I don’t think anybody has lost any confidence. I believe in my team.”
“We just got in the meeting room, talked about what happened and what we need to go out there and do,” said sophomore wide receiver Pharoh Cooper. “The veterans, the captains, went up there, spoke, and said what we needed to do: Keep faith, trust in the coaches and believe in our ability to play.”
