Four-Star DT Darius Whitfield Commits To South Carolina
1Four-star defensive tackle Darius Whitfield from Saint Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile, AL announced Tuesday that he has committed to South Carolina, despite Steve Spurrier resignation.
Whitfield is the No. 18 overall defensive tackle in the country and the No. 5 overall player from the state of Alabama for 2016, according to Rivals.
The Gamecocks now have 15 commitments for the class of 2016 with Whitfield on board.
