Muschamp announced at his Monday press conference that neither redshirt senior linebacker Neiron Ball nor sophomore LB Jarrad Davis will play again in 2014 with Davis having suffered a torn meniscus and Ball requiring microfracture surgery. Both players were injured in the Gators' 23-20 overtime loss to South Carolina, with Davis hurt on the game's opening kickoff.
A season-long starter, Ball is tied with Dante Fowler for the team's second-highest tackles total with 49. A regular member of the linebacker rotation, Davis ranks 13th on the team with 23.
