Four-star dual threat quarterback Jalen Hurts from Channelview, TX (Channelview HS) committed to Alabama on Thursday, according to AL.com:

His father and head coach, Averion Hurts, said his son committed to Nick Saban on Thursday. The Channelview, Texas standout took a plane trip to Los Angeles for the Elite 11 semifinals on Friday, but the plane was delayed three times.
Hurts chose the Crimson Tide over Texas A&M and Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-2, 208-pound Hurts is rated the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 41 overall player from the state of Texas, according to 247 Sports.
