Quitting is when you have something left to give and don’t use it. Both quit:
-Baker had one game left, quit.
-Juniors who left had one season left, quit.
The team have to adjust to both quitting and they have time in both instances, so that’s not the issue.
Point is, Uga benefited a heck of a lot more from baker playing 13 than the juniors who played zero. Thank him for it.

It’s hilarious to me how they are so much more upset about this than the actual players and coaches

Again I’m not talking about impact. Yes he helped us out by sticking around another year and we may have won more games because of it.
All I’m debating is the definition of quitting. He quit on the team he played for this year. Had he left after last year then he can’t quit on this years team.
Finish what you start. Since he decided to come back he should have finished.
Players who come to Georgia and leave after 3 years did not come to Georgia to graduate with a degree. They never committed to 4 years, never told their teammates they would play 4 years, and never had intentions to play 4 years. So how can they quit on a senior year they never started?
Baker started his senior year and quit DURING it. Even told his teammates and the fans he was playing in the bowl game. He lied and went to south Florida.

Since both are quitters on their eligibility, the only argument is who quit more games. The junior did. Thank baker for sticking around to try to win a championship. Trash those who didn’t, if you have to trash anyone .

It’s ok to just quit a little bit.

It’s 14x worse to quit 14 more games.

4 season of eligibility started. Juniors didn’t even start their 4th year. That’s a whole next level of quitting .

Juniors didn’t even start their 4th year
They didn’t own a 4th year to start. There was a 4th year offered but it was never accepted or started therefore it could never be quit.

All players own a 4th year. All players can use it. Baker chose to use 13/14 of it. Juniors who leave early chose to use 0/14 of it.
