Which one of you had the run in with Cormac McCarthy's ex-wife?

I can't even remember all the specifics myself. I think there was an article posted somewhere that I had linked to on the OT a few years ago. Apparently, said article was a fabrication or something and she was going around to every message board and comment section to defend herself (I think it was something about her?).

I apologized and she was pretty cool about it after that. Lives in New Mexico and makes art IIRC

I took it as someone that felt attacked and didn't quite understand how things got spread on the internet lashing out at anyone and everyone as attacking her. Once I explained that I was just reposting an article and had no idea it was a lie being spread about her, she calmed down and was actually pretty nice.

Definitely a bizarre occurrence, though, especially since I'm a big reader of her ex husbands work

She pulled a gun out of her vagina after getting in a fight about aliens if I recall.

Her argument was that these were false accusations and that she was wrongfully improsoned and made to look like a fool
