If Richt would get all over Grantham's arse and simplify the defensive scheme, that game yesterday is never in doubt.
Better?

Why would you not want them undefeated when we face them in Atl. Explain pls

I don't like them. I highly doubt a 1 loss sec champ would be left out of any BCS title game. And did I mention frick bama again?

Then you could easily be disappointed Every major conference will likely have an unbeaten to make a solid case for. And the entire football world outside of the south thinks the SEC MNC run is bad for CFB

The tricky part about our loss is that it's out of conference. That throws the entire argument about how the toughest conference in football beats each other up, imo.
Of the one or two-loss SEC champions that went on to play for the MNC, how many of those losses were to out of conference opponents? None, i don't think.
Winning an SEC Championship is still a worthy goal though. I guess if we beat an undefeated Bama there, then there's a small chance we could jump an undefeated team......but most likely we need a bunch of teams to lose.

If clemson is still undefeated? And thats a big if, but will definitely complicate things
If stanford or oregon is undefeated you have to give one of them a shot
And what will OSUs win streak sit at if they win out? 25-0 or something? Their schedule is a laughing stock, but the media loves them. Potential heisman QB blah, blah...

I don't know who the media is outside of ESPN as far as college football. I suspect an undefeated Oregon will be #1 if bama slips up but I think a one loss UGA will jump a undefeated Ohio St. if it came down to it. Call it a champ defending its crown is how I think they'd bill it. A undefeated Clemson? That would be a problem and quite frankly, they'd deserve it.

Re-direct your rage and utter dissapointment towards CTG, all the cool kids are doing it
Posted on 9/29/13 at 7:02 pm to Cherokee Chinstrap
I'm hoping CTG is just finding his stride and we're in for a pleasant surprise.
More likely is that we continue to look like idiots on the field and squeak by on the arm of Murray and the legs of Gurley.

We will get better as the season goes on. This is going to sound cliche but we really do not have much of a choice in the matter because it literally can't get much worse. Playing all of these teams with more than competent offenses sure as hell didn't do any favors for the younger guys in these early games. I am not proclaiming that we will be world beaters on defense by seasons end or anything bat shite crazy like that, but I do think if the younger guys continue to develop we can at least put something out on the field that resembles an SEC defense and not some shite out of the Big 12 like we currently are.

But who do we hire? Seriously????
