I think Beck's head this season has been in the NFL the whole time, drops aside. Lives a total post college life for the last year plus and seems to not have much interest. Just reading his demeanor overall. Thus, it has been hard to get the ball rolling in the first half due to lack of interest. The Bobo issues between the two of them might be really real as I posted about weeks ago.
off topic takes:
He is not a natural leader, very telling that the team went crazy over Gunner and not the starter of the last two years who helped get them to the SECG.
I do not think Beck could win us a Natty this year if he were healthy.
I do think Gunner can and not that he is better than Beck, he just gives juice and an added run dimension. He will throw INT's, but so would Beck. I have no feeling of "drop off" with Gunner for the playoffs.
The D is really battle tested and I think they can wear teams down when they need too.

Ol' boy's #1 goal was to win the Heisman. Everything else was window dressing.

3 fumbles in 2 games (the whole season) and only lost 1 of them
That is 1 lost fumble in 129 carries.
Not bad for a freshmen

Yeah, but much like blackjack, the odds can flip at the worst time

But they haven't

Which statistically means we are closer to it happening.

If he just fumbled in the last game, then statistically we won't see another in the post season based on touches

Yeah, that's it..... He is a great back but until he gets that squared away it's a concern.

It's a concern for any RB who gets the majority of carries.
The chances of him NOT fumbling based on him getting at least ~9 carries per game is 80% with the current stats he has produced.
I will take that chance

Not like we have a choice.

We have a healthy Etienne, Phillips (who needs more carries) Cash Jones (good receiver, runner, and pass blocker) and the Robinsons are getting healthier. Plenty of choices.
Etienne, Jones, and Frazier can run or receive so our options on play action are endless. Our first couple of series should be heavy on that.

You guys remember the Auburn game in 2020 I think, nothing was going right so we start running the ball, our Ol would scrum up around the ball carrier and push him 6-7 more yards. Over and over again.
It reminded me of pure football and was physically exhausting for Auburn.
I see one or two olinemen try to help but nothing like what happened that day.
We should look at the plays and schemes from that day, maybe we still run them, but the emphasis should be to maul the defense all the way down the field.

Agreed
Sprinkle in Roderick in the 4th quarter to do a final wear down of their defense popping off 7-10 yards per touch a 2-3 times and you put any game away.
Honestly, I think we are finally built for a Natty run.
You have to keep in mind that these other teams we have to play are not used to playing in a playoff game. Our team plays in them nearly every year now.
This is a big deal and good for about 7-10pts vs ND/IU/Boise/PSU
