On paper there looks to be a lack of some real homerun matchups but that was probably the case last week too and we were treated to a great day of football. Hopefully this wekeend is the same! What games are yall looking forward to?

-In the early slot it's pretty much just us that I have any interest in. It really is a snoozefest otherwise with OU/Nebraska being the only other one that has any kind of semblance of intrigue for me, although OU probably runs away with it.
-At 3:30 we've got 3 games all at once on the network channels that I'll check in on. Ole miss/tech is the least intriguing but will still check the score. Really interested in Penn St/AU and BYU/Oregon. I had no idea BYU was so highly regarded as an almost top 10 team. And I'm definitely pulling for lanning to get a signature win
-We get a nifty 6pm time slot for MSU/LSu whihc definitely has my attention.
-The night game slot is mostly big teams playing crappy teams. I'll have Miami/ATM on but it's obvioulsy lost its luster since last week. I'm pulling hard for MIami as I desperately want any other ACC team to start challenign clemson regularly. UF/USF is on too so who knows how they'll look comign off a loss

You mentioned quite a lot of games for a lackluster week.

You also left off the ESPN game of the week….Troy @ App State

Also, I think like 3 out of last 4 Neb/OU games have been decided by a TD or less, maybe even a FG or less.

There is definitely at least 1 game on each time slot worth watching, which is great, but I see what you’re saying. You want multiple top 10 and 5-6 top 25 matchups a week…

hmmm didn't know that. That'll make me keep a closer eye on that one

Sure that'd be aweome but heck this week there's only ONE game betwen ranked teams and it's byu/oregon lol. Technically I guess miami/atm counts too but atm really shouldnt' be ranked.

I’m kind of interested in seeing what USC can do, they usually start off decently ranked then drop a couple games they shouldn’t. Right now they’re 7th with a home game against Fresno Saturday night. Maybe USC has finally turned it around

Okay. That one was just a joke.

So looked it up, last 3 in a row been decided by a TD or less. And it’s a traditional rivalry.

I was just teasing, but yeah, does feel like we are missing a couple big headliner type games. But that will come, it’s week 3. Teams aren’t even into full on conference schedules yet. Last week and this week are cupcake scheduling weeks for a lot of teams

So, you people don't print the weektly cfb tv schedule on Tuesday, or Wednesday at latest, as part of your fall ritual? That explains a lot actually. Amateur hour as usual.

I like the CBS schedule. Jack the setting up to 150% which centers everything and pushes the ads on the side off the page. Then it's yellow highlighter for the marquee TV 1 games, the ones you plan to give most attention for each time slot. Noon, 3:30, and the 7ish window. Blue highlighter for noteworthy ranked teams, and the SEC. ORange highlighter for potential weirdness games. And then just a ball point pen to scribble in pointspreads, and their flucuations looking for patterns and wormholes.

All that being said, I have two that popped up my radar through the above ancient proven system that didn't get mentioned by OP:

1) #6 Oklahoma visits Nebraska at noon on Fox and is only an 11 point favorite. That's very wierd. And what would be weirder than Nebraska players rallying after their coach gets flushed and shockingly knocking off an Oklahoma team that can be counted on to do this exact type of thing once a season like clockwork. You heard it here first. Down goes Oklahoma to shite arse Nebraska

...and 2) #11 Michigan State and their $100 million dollar salaried head coach ( what a joke, but good for him) are only 3.5 point favorites against shite arse Washington at 7:30 on ABC. I;m not saying this is worth watching. Just that this could be one of the ones we'll be laughing about when Mich St most likely loses while everyone is watching MIami

Fsu could be decent if they could find any semblance of a defense.

Wake up call:

After tomorrow, the season you waited so long for is already a quarter over/ three quarters left. However you want to look at it

The GSB is dying. We need leaders.

Lurkers, do not be afraid of these people. It’s time

You know what you need to do Jefferson. Sometimes to go forward, we have to look into the past...
