Kentucky has the same problem in football that Georgia has in basketball, no tradition of excellence. Not that we are excellent in football by any stretch of the imagination but we do have a reputation for sending a lot of talent to the NFL.

True. Stoops does have some deep roots in Ohio though, which is going to help up. His family is a powerhouse family in Ohio football.

It could only help the SEC.

We're never going to out recruit Ohio State or Michigan, but we're already getting four stars out of the state because there's so much talent there.

We're never going to be an Alabama, or LUS, or UGA, or Auburn, but there's no reason why we can't be a Mizzou or South Carolina.

Yep, old fashioned SGA football. And not too far from the home of GA royalty -- the Baileys.

I'm a Kentucky football fan. I just want to go back to when we went to five straight bowl games. My expectations are reasonable. Anything more is icing on the cake.

Homerville makes Waycross look like Gotham City. I'm amazed a coach could find his way to Homerville from Lexington -- he must have been on his way to the Okefenokee.

You know they call that strip from Mobile over the 'golden belt of recruiting' all coaches know the area well.
