Long overdue update:

194 tags have been ordered so far. We need 250 to get a basic "G" on a plate, but 1,000 for the special design. We have until Oct. 31 to reach 1,000.

I know there is a Mobile, AL Bulldog club. I drank with them one night at Joe Caines. Get them on board. Most of them were successful types.

256 tags sold with 7 or so months left.... There is a license plate that is eleigible if 1,000 aren't precommited. It's not as nice but it's still something.

When I moved to AL they obviously didn't have UGA tags which sucked...but looking back I actually kinda prefer just having the al state tag with a personalized UGA saying. Definitely got some funny looks.

Nothing beats a power G on a plate IMO

sure looks damn good, no denying that. However, I felt like this was more of a middle finger, "frick you" kinda situation

Who would live in Alabama?

Me, for one. I lived 34 years in the Atlanta area and now live in north Alabama. I have the mountains nearby and Lake Guntersville 3 miles away. I have 114 acres in the country and it is better here than anywhere I've been in Georgia. Worst traffic jam I've been in here was a two block stretch of road construction. took 5 minutes to get through the mess. Just because you don't know any better, don't pick on us.

I've got family in Alabama.

You need to sign up for a tag.

Nah. I have a Georgia tag on both cars, so why pay Alabama for another?

I pay enough taxes here already, and I'll just add $50 to my annual check to Georgia.

Maybe I misunderstood but I thought these are license plates issued by the State of Alabama. If so, and you are a GA fan living in bama with one, expect a few negative comments from bama fans or just out right laughter.

doubt it - I live in Bham & see more UGA stuff than any other school here 9bumper stickers on cars)

in Bham:

1 - Bama
2 - AU
3 - UGA
4 - UAB
5 - LSU
5 - Ole Miss
7 - UT
8 - MS State

at least, that is what I notice

yes, more UGA stuff than UAB - crazy...

and Bham is like Atlanta was when I grew up there, pretty nice actually...

You are absolutely misunderstood in that there are more UGA fans in Alabama than you think. Sure, there are people that may heckle out of state fans, but those that live in Georgia get it too. Wake up...

If you are a resident of Alabama I am not sure how you still have Georgia tags on your vehicles but that is not my concern. What is my concern is doing my absolute best in motivating Dawgs who live in Alabama to buy the tag. If you have an extra 50 to give the University then you can easily register yours or someone elses car for the UGA tag here in Bama. Please reconsider your stance we are busting our arse to make this happen Go Dawgs!!!!

Have you ordered the tag yet?? Yes their are a ton of UGA fans living in Alabama. We are working hard to get them all on board with buying the tag.

The biggest thing it does is allow all of us Dawgs in Alabama to show our Bulldog Pride.

Our current tag count sits at 260 tags sold with 740 to go. We have a little over 7 months to go to make this happen. October 31 2016 is the deadline for us to reach 1000 tags to complete the process for the full color version UGA tag. We do have a option at a lesser designed UGA tag because we have sold 250 or more plates. However we do not want to settle for a lesser tag. I am asking all UGA fans or grads who reside in Alabama to pre order the UGA tag it is going to take all of us on board to make this a reality. For more info and updates please follow us at LINK
