As far as I'm concerned, those wins were already overvalued after Bama's two near-losses to Texas and AnM this year, both mediocre-at-best opponents.
Bama has finished 4 of their games very tightly, last minute games. They are 2-2 in close games vs mediocre opponents. In their favor, they could easily still be undefeated right now, but they could just as easily have 4 losses right now. Regardless of the outcome of this Ole Miss game, I think bama has already lost all of its luster, for this season anyway. Maybe they turn it around next season, maybe they slide continues. I don't know. It is weird that the path to the championship no longer goes through Bama this year, for the first time since when?
