Not arguing with you....just curious what you envision a slot has that Robertson does not? What makes him an outside receiver instead of a slot?

For that matter, anybody else that would like to weigh in, feel free to. I have ideas about what I see in a slot and what I see in an outside receiver, and I am curious to see how it stacks up with yours.
I just see Robertson as a prototypical slot man. I'll explain why after I see what y'all think.

These aren't set in stone designations either. Receiver is always fluid. We see WR's move inside and TE's outside, 4 WR sets, bunch sets, etc. etc. Don't get hung up on the label. This is simply an easier way of projecting/suggesting the depth of the positions.

The Slot should be exceptional at slants, jail-breaks, short outs and ins, seams, and skinny posts/flags. Plus they are suited for bunch sets and receiver screens, and this usually means they are really fast/explosive and shifty.
All of this I think describes Robertson to a T.
I'd almost consider moving Arian Smith outside over Robertson.
That all said, I think Burton is the absolute perfect Slot guy. Blaylock too, especially since he's bigger and can block better on outside runs to his side.

Since when did Fromm hit him over the shoulder?

I honestly did not remember that pass. Robertson just flat out dropped it, didn't he?

I couldn't have been the only one who noticed he has weak hands on balls he has to extend/reach for.
If we're going to maximize this kid, he needs short direct throws he can use his body to help him catch. I hate saying that because it's absolutely horrid form. But it's either that or he's a virtual bust.

You mean like from the slot?
Your response echoed what I considered to be a slot receiver. Smaller, shifty, speedy guy for quick slants
Outside receivers are a little taller for the jump, 50/50 balls.
I will say that Godwin did a pretty decent job on 50/50 balls for him to not be a tall guy, though.
