I just drink after the game anymore. Don't need alcohol to enjoy the game

I enjoy the walk from the tailgate to the stadium with a nice traveler of bourbon and maybe a cigar to carry over whatever I imbibed throughout the day. Sufficiently earns the buzz I want for the duration of pregame and kickoff. Once we are in game time, I want to be mostly of not fully sober. Have yet to buy a beer in Sanford (though I have bought plenty in Foley but baseball beer is a different proposition than football beer IMO)

I gave up drinking years ago, but have a few friends that still try to tailgate like it's college. Show up for one game and buddy has a 60oz tumber w/ half Jack and half coke. Pours himself one and hands it to my ex-wife. He was incoherent by kickoff. Seems like overall it's less crazy than the 80's or 90's. Went to a game with my dad in 85. I had never seen so many drunk people. We were like that all my years at games 90-95. Had a dorm mate that blacked out at every single home game freshman year.
