You mean as in down the arm or on the shoulder blade?
Was thinking shoulder blade... If you're not explicitly a "tattoo" guy at least... Depends though... what is the point of the tattoo for you... if it's about visibility during football season, shoulder blade makes zero sense unless you're streaking through the quad on Saturdays...

back is one of the least likely areas to get stretched out over time
Also my thought about the shoulder blade... definitely in the "pro" column as you evaluate.

BTW, I agree about the renderings. But who could I enlist to do that?
This is where I become less useful. I can give you rational thoughts and opinions on this stuff, but I am decidedly *not* a tattoo guy, so not really helpful here.

True. But this would be true on the upper arm for me, too, as I don't wear tank tops. Jefferson will be happy to hear that.

If it's more personal but you are cool with people seeing it sometimes, shoulder blade makes sense, as family will see it at times, and any time you're at the pool/beach, etc...
I think this really describes my view of it better. I think if I went the route of the state with the Uga head in it, the shoulder blade is really THE spot for it. My only downside here is that I will almost never see it myself.

I would imagine that tattoo artists would be willing to do some sketches/mockups? I can ask my brother who got a pretty intense custom wolf tattoo a few years ago... I have an older cousin who is/was a tattoo artist, but haven't spoken to him in a quite a while...
Hey, whatever you can offer, I will take. Don't go out of your way, but if you have the time/opportunity, I'd certainly appreciate it.

If you take an idea to a tattoo artist with some visual examples of what you’re trying to achieve, they can mock up anything, BUT you will want to do that at least a few days in advance. If you’re in Athens, I recommend going by the shop and speaking with the artist ahead of time to give him/her a few days to mock it up and make an appointment.

I kinda thought that might be the case, but thank you for confirming.
I guess I will wait until this becomes a reality and then make a stop by Walk the Line and bounce my idea off of them. Appreciate your input!

Yeah... was just thinking T-shirt and can pull up the sleeve if for whatever reason you're wanting to show it to someone... don't have to take your shirt all the way off.

Agreed... would have to see that as the other upside to bicep/upper arm... you an at least see it without a mirror.

Getting a good mock-up would be key to making the first idea work...which almost makes me lean toward the easier, second option with adding in years in the corresponding fonts into the collar as was suggested earlier.
Sounds like you'll probably be good there, as it's likely best to get it done by the guy who's going to be stabbing you with the needle...
I tend to lean towards simpler is better when I see people's tattoos... overly complex/intricate stuff, you better see some similar "stylistic examples" of the artist, or it may really not come out as you hope.

@ Jefferson/tank top comment... Who did that even start with? DrewDawg13?
Y'know, I honestly don't recall. I just know it happened.

Excellent points. I will keep you posted.
