I was reminded of the following while reading about Saban’s new contract extension...
-Saban still hasn’t even been in Tuscaloosa as long as Richt was in Athens

So I'm just now getting to this somewhat.
2007- 6 losses. Trailed UGA, tied with FSU, led LSU, tied with ULM, trailed Auburn. Record 1 lead, 3 behind, 2 tied.
2008- 2 losses. Trailed both UF and Utah. Record 0-2-0.
2009- Unbeaten.
2010- 3 losses. Trailed USCjr, led LSU and Auburn. Record 2-1-0.
2011- 1 loss. Tied with LSU. Record 0-0-1.
2012- 1 loss. Trailed aTm. Record 0-1-0.
2013- 2 losses. Led Auburn and trailed Oklahoma. Record 1-1-0.
2014- 2 losses. Led Ole Miss and Ohio State. Record 2-0-0.
2015- 1 loss. Trailed Ole Miss. Record 0-1-0.
2016- 1 loss. Led Clemson. Record 1-0-0.
2017- 1 loss. Trailed Auburn. Record 0-1-0.
2018- 1 loss. Trailed Clemson. Record 0-1-0.
2019- 2 losses. Trailed LSU and led Auburn. Record 1-1-0.
2020- Unbeaten.
To summarize, in Saban's 23 losses as Bama HC, he led in 8 games, was tied in 3 games and was behind in 12 games.
