Everyone else has 12 games of passing yards against them, we have 10.

But ypg is an average. 10 games or 200. Still a great improvement. Sorry it skews your hate for Richt.

Don't use common sense to skew arguments like this
In all seriousness, the defense wasn't perfect by any stretch and the UF game was an abomination but just watching the defense, there were obvious improvements. We actually held teams to FGs or even punts when a turnover or ST play gave them good field position.

Yes, we only had 10 games of passing against us, but the divisor remains 12. So, fewer total passing yards because 2 games involved virtually no passing, but total passing yards against was still divided by 12 games to come up with yards per game.

Sorry basic math is a little beyond your grasp.

Something else to consider is that our offense put our defense in alot of shitty positions last year with more turnovers and extremely shitty special teams. Think Damian Swann's drop on the punt vs Vandy last year, as one of numerous situations that put the defense in a bind.

The types of numbers being thrown around here are decent for jibber jabber and discussion, but really don't mean much. They aren't apples to apples.
