No, you're missing the point. What I'm saying is that the pubs couldn't get the message that true conservatism mattered more than their brand of neocon bullshite and allowed themselves to get cucked by a narcissistic nationalist. As you will see tonight, he may have brought the rats out into the light, but his views absolutely don't represent anything resembling a majority.
With any luck, a more libertarian weighted Conservative party will rise from the ashes of the GOP. Populists never get far in this country, thank the Lord. And we haven't had a strong nationalist presence since the 30s - hopefully we never will again. Patriotism is what makes this country great, Trump'a brand of nationalism makes us something very unAmerican.
