I think I've got it pretty bad.

Just purchased orange juice that doesn't go bad until after the Vnderbilt game week 4. And in almost literally 3 seconds you'll be cleaning up the torn up wrapping paper on Christmas morning wondering where the hell the rest of this year went.

It's time for people to wake up and realize how easy/manageable UGA's schedule is this year. And prepare for the ride that is about to happen

The schedule definitely sets up nicely. Get past Clemson and we could have a ticket to the playoffs, win, lose or draw in the SECCG, as long as it is a close game. The only thing that bothers me is the mental block we seem to have against Alabama.

Disagree bigly with this. In 2020 they were obviously the much better team. In 2018 they were also clearly the better team. It was more surprising that we jumped out the way we did, then Chaney did what he always does and try to run out the clock in the 3rd quarter. Ditto for 2017 only we were the better team than them.

Really only 1 time in the last 3 meetings were we actually better, and 2 of those times can almost directly be blamed on Chaney. I don't think it's a mentally block. We have yet to see a situation where the teams are evenly matched and we have a non-chaney OC since kiebys arrival

And that time we were better, it took the totality of being on the wrong end of every critical 50/50 call (and some just blatantly bad calls/ misses) for us to lose in a fluke OT blown coverage.

Once we get the monkey off our back I foresee a great run and a mega-rivalry with Bama.

I mean, yeah, if you stop at the last three. But I am also saying we were favored in 2015....so in the last 4 times we played them we were favored 2 of those and lost all of them in spite of jumping out to a lead in 2 of the games. When you jump out to leads like we did, you have to finish it and not go into a shell.

Whether it is the team or coaches, it doesn't matter, but we seem to get tight when in a game with Alabama. Given their recent success it is somewhat understandable...and maybe it is just my own impression and may not exist at all.

Alabama was favored in all 4 games. I distinctly remember a lot of pro money coming in on Alabama on the day of the 2015 game to the point where most books had the line at Alabama -1 at kickoff. They were favored by at least 6.5 in 2017, 2018, and 2020.

Absolutely. I still believe that we would have run them out of the stadium in that 2018 SECCG had Hot Rod not missed that chip shot FG to go up 31-14. The entire tenor of that game changed at that point.

It's starting to have a 90s and 00s Florida feel to it where the score is 14-0 before the game starts. The longer we go without beating them, the worse it will get.

You realize you just made my point for me, right? Then the coaches screwed up and tried an ill advised fake punt. People can argue all they want about Alabama having the momentum, but in that situation you can't give them the ball at midfield.

This is exactly what I have been arguing. I can't decide if you are agreeing with me, or arguing against me.

I disagree with you. I will allow you to choose which point you made that I disagree with. After you provide this information, I will convince you that you are wrong.

Are you ready?

No. All I am saying is that when we play Alabama i get the feeling something is going to go wrong. Our players seem (to me) to get tight, and our coaches seem (To me) to make a poor decision or two that hurt us.

Now. If you can argue that I don't feel that way, then have at it.

Lol

You do realize that we gave up 9 rushing TDs to QBs prior to #10 (Jalen Hurts game winnin TD)?
You do realize that Hurts was 7 for 9 for 82 yards and another TD passing?

Everyone in the stadium should have known that if we give Jalen the ball, we lose. The only way we win was to keep the ball. We didnt have the linebacker play in 2018 to do what we did in 2017, and that is why big, fast, mobile QBs killed us all season.
