It’s a complex topic. Kind of like asking today in 2023 how the german people could have ever followed Hitler and the nazis off the cliff like they did. To undrstand it, you have to grasp the desperate climate of the time period
The Chowder Pop Guild sprang from similar circumstances to that debacle actually. An oppressed and beaten down people. Sick and humiliated by decades of losing in the worst ways possible. Unhappy with the hapless leadership of the Richt collective and stricken with fevered jealousy of what the Saban administration was doing on the other side of the wall.
It was a powder keg waiting to blow.
And all it took was a charismatic leader named Gowder to come along and whip the e-masses into a squeaky frothing cartoon mob.
The Guild was born in a flash. And died in the same lightning strike manner. But their reign, although brief, was brutal and terrifying. And the dissidents that survived it will never forget it

Members of The Guild also all assigned themselves a cartoon character for some perverted reason. Like a serial killer wearing a clown mask or something like that to further torment his victims.
Do you remember your assigned Guild cartoon character? The fog of war erased a lot of those type details from my memory
I do remember there was a squeaker clique within the Guild that used South Park characters. Pretty sure you were enlisted in that unit

I don't believe I had a chaacter. I think I remember a monkey of some kind being used but I don't remember by who, or for what purpose. I do remember the origin of Gowder and there being a chowder posse of which I was invovled, but like I said I didn't remember the point. Guess it was mostly pro-Richt and anti-Richt based on your recollection.
I don't think so, I think I'd remember that. Maybe.

Youre confusing The Chowder Posse with TylerDurdens HGMF2 team, the Space Monkeys. Tyler Durden was heavily involved in the formation of the Posse though. One of its founding fathers and string pullers in fact. Chowder was basically just a figure head
Yall should have killed me when you had the numbers though because im not going to let you re-write and whitewash the history of that era. It had nothing to do with pro richt vs anti richt. It was about the direction of the GSB. Woud it be a squeaking gif and emoticon clogged mini secrant dominated by a cartoon cult or would it be free.

All of this is true, but some people, including myself, were pretty hard on Gowder. I don't even remember his screen name at this point. He's just Gowder or Chowder.

Also, I remember it as the Chowder Pop Guild, not the Chowder Posse. Like the Lollipop Guild from the wizard of oz.

I remember he had made some posts about his sister being at UGA so we found her in the student directory. He said that wasn't her, but she was the only female Gowder in the directory so... it was her. There was no reason for us to do this, but we did it anyway. There was blood in the water and we were young.
