I was just spot spraying. Slight yellowing of the Bermuda doesn't concern me

I'm a little annoyed that we all jumped in to help WG with a few simple questions and he just ghosted us.

Yeah. His yard probably looks like shite anyways. What ever happened to the lawn off?
Posted on 4/11/23 at 7:13 am to deeprig9
rig you know I don't have the imgur app so have to wait til I'm at a computer again.
Took these last night
That is the only one standing since I wanted to start with small experimentation, all the rest were plucked out by hand. And there were a bunch probably a dozen if I had to guess.
Here is what I bought:
FYI I just happened to be in lowes for something else and saw this and thougth "brush killer...hmm maybe that coudl work". It was an impulse buy that I hadn't researched ahead of time.

That will kill the bushes but I’m pretty sure it will also kill TF out of your grass too. Anything that will nuke a blackberry bush will do a number on zoysia.

it's bermuda if it matters. I made sure during my trial run to only spray a tiny bit direclty onto the leaves themselves so none would get on the actual grass. Also on the packaging it didn't say anythign about killing grass it just said that if some excess happens to get on warm season grass it could discolor for a brief time, but that was all. I would tinhnk (or HOPE, really since I'm ignorant on the topic) that if it was a grass killer it'd be pretty explicit on the bottle. All the roundup type products I see say "weed AND GRASS killer" huge on the front so you can't miss it.
Follow up question- now you've got me nervous so assumignm it's not too late can I just pull it up and no harm done? Liek what is the absolute, disaster worse case scenario? IT's already gone through the stalk down to the roots where it will then spread out all to the grass roots too? Syurely that wouldn't be happening so quick right?

It will probably be fine if you only sprayed it on the weed. But don't use it anymore for weeds in the turf. It will burn it.
Posted on 4/11/23 at 10:21 am to K9
ok thanks. I'll probably not use it anymore period just to be on the safe side.
Any other ideas on how to get rid of these things? I saw someone mention burning them but i don't think I'm ready for somethign like that

Check out posts from the last page. Quali Pro 3D is what I would use.
Will probably have to spray it multiple times this year. If it persists you can wait until winter and the grass is dormant and try to dig out the roots.
When did you put down the sod though? Don't want to spray herbicides on very new turf.

Herbicides don't spread down into the root and into other nearby plants. It's not like AIDS.

K9 is obviously the expert but in my limited experience I only use weed killers on the lawn that specify safe for lawns…but those are mostly targeted for crabgrass.
On an unrelated note, I discovered I have a fungus issue in my centipede. Spreading half ring of really green followed by brown and dead. I thought it my be a fungus which was confirmed with a nasty blob of goo that grew out of the spot after the rain last week. Hitting it up with a fungicide to calm it down.

This thread is disgusting. The Anthony Fauci phizer guide on to how to poison your neighborhood and make Lowes filthy rich over some dandelions

Bugs, briars, weeds and now fungus receive no mercy.
