re: Stetson

I came around on Stetson this season. Wasn’t a huge fan of him last season but this year I was in his corner unless passes were getting batted down or multiple INTs in the same game.
That being said im still glad he has exhausted his eligibility bc I am fricking exhausted with all of you children and Jefferson dogs old arse bickering over him. He’s gone and idgaf what he said yesterday im sure he was just drinking that dark liquor and popping off at the mouth as we all tend to do.

Jordan Rodgers slighted Bennett every chance he got. When RGIII called last years UAB game he slighted Bennett in spite of the best stat line any QB ever had. The frequently said bullshite nonsense that really grates was the comment that we won it all in 2021 in spite of Bennitt.

Almost all the SECN folks except for Greg McElroy who rated him second. David Pollack was always a Bennitt
fan going back to 2021.

The best commentators got it right but Stetson only listened to the others.

This was painful during the media days living up to the game. Every reporter basically asked a different version of this same question.

“Stetson, what is it like now after nobody, including the coaches, thought you were good enough”

If I had a dollar for everytime I heard “walk on” over the past month I wouldn’t need the lottery.

Also, my guess is the Heisman discussion was still fresh too. The comments ranged from “he deserves to go but will never win it” to screeching about how he didn’t deserve to be there

This about a guy that out gunned 2 of the other 3 finalists. And not in a defense dominated slog….out threw them both and beat their QB stats.

Commentators and talking heads….and yes, fans…always put him in a different box compared to guys like Young and Stroud. Saying basically the defense got him those wins….despite the fact those other QBs had NFL first round WR talent to throw to (except Bryce this year and looked what happened). These teams also had a wealth of talent on defense as well.

Even now, I’d argue that Bryce Young - a universally accepted high QB pick - has no real differentiating skills from SBIV….the guy people are saying will never play in the league.

Height and weight? Not much different. Elusiveness? No. Toughnes? SB all the way. A stronger arm…probably…but after this year who would you rather have behind center against a pass rush.

I thought Fromm put up with more shite than any UGA QB ever due to the Fields situation. Bennett caught more than Fromm could ever imagine.

I was on the Bennett train last year because he kept winning. No way you insert JT back in there and he proved me right with winning the Natty…despite being tight as hell the first half of that game. This year…he earned the right to come back and went undefeated.
