No doubt. Long arms, long legs and squatty torso. Would have to get a real good look at his ankles before declaring him an honorary brotha however.

If we can add BA… then that defense could be spicy this year.

This is probably obvious and a dumb question but who is BA?

DT Sedrick Smith also confirmed he was offered but hasn’t committed yet.

With NIL/portal I haven't kept up with recruiting nearly as much as i used to...what are our thoughts on thsi trio we got over the weekend? All 3 were positions of need so I'm thrilled there.

All 3 will contribute immediately from what I’ve seen on twitter posts/media reports.

RB is established with 1 year eligibility. He was MVP of Illinois bowl game with over 100 yards against South Carolina if I remember correctly.

Modozie was the top overall defensive player in the portal. He will contribute along with Gabe Harris and Q Johnson. He has 2 years eligibility.

Horton is a tweener in size who can play 5t and 3t. He has 3 years eligibility….i think. If that’s wrong please someone correct me.

That all sounds right. I wonder if Gabe will play more 5 tech like he did last year when Mykel was hurt. That way we get him and Modozie on the field together with Q rotating in since I’m pretty sure Chris Cole is going to do a lot of the Jalen Walker pass rush role as well. Either way. We got better. At a bare minimum we needed more depth.

As far as RB goes I’m very excited about McCray. From his highlights he looks like what I hope Rod Rob can eventually be when fully healthy. Hard to tackle. Big. But he also seems to have good hands as well.

Horton I assume will be more depth this year and look to take on a bigger role as he develops.

Gabe was hurt all spring but word is he will exclusively stand up at OLB/Edge.

I read the same about Cole taking on the Walker role too.

Does he still have to go into Service after college? I’m not familiar with with people who transfer from service academies

Has this happened before? They are required for a number of years after graduation, but I'm not sure about this.

Just finished Brooks Austin's film breakdown for Modozi. It turns out that Odozi is an honorary white guy (high motor, strong against the run despite being undersized, role player). Surprisingly untwitchy for a Nigerian. The comp would probably be Chaz Chambliss of all people – "first and second down run stopper."

Brooks still likes the pickup, however, and thinks he'll be a good addition to the squad. But "if you're expecting Nolan Smith or Azeez Ojulari, this is definitely not him."

They commit to the service requirement in 3rd year. He’s transferring before that.
