Yes. Lock the door(s) and call the police.

The cops solve crimes. they dont prevent them. I'm guessing that you have faith they would solve you and your sister's potential murder?

You seriously think a deadbolt will keep someone out who wants in?

If you aren't packing, you go somewhere with witnesses/cameras. And that's only if you can.

Trayvon took matters into his own hands. It's a losing battle more often than not to assault a man with a handgun.

The situation was unavoidable. It's practically a Greek tragedy. A Shakespeare play. It shouldn't have happened. But it was predestined. Trayvon wasn't going to lead a thug home. And Zimmerman wasn't going to let a thug beat him to death without using his firearm.

Would you go to your house if someone was following you? Leading them to your 13 yr old sibling??.

No, I'd do like most blacks would do. I'd go knock him the ground and get on top of him and start punching and slamming his head into the pavement. Then I'd cry racism and riot, loot, and protest, kill more whites when the verdict went against blacks.

I would, yes. I would lead him to my house, lock the door, and grab a knife, a bat, a crowbar, a kitchen knife, a gun; anything I could use as a defensive tool, and call the police to report a "creepy-arse cracker" following me.

The police have no obligation to protect you, but they can investigate suspicious behavior, which is why Zimmerman called. If Martin could take care of business with his fists, I'm sure he could fend for himself while barricaded in a house. His brother probably could have laid some smack down, too.

I don't think the thought even crossed his mind that he should lead Zimmerman away from the house. He didn't mention anything like that to his girlfriend on the phone, at least, not according to any testimony I heard.

I wouldn't say to the girl I was on the phone with I'm gonna jack this sucka, and I wouldn't have turned and got into a confrontation with him either. He didn't have to walk home anymore than Zimmerman had to follow him yet that is what many are saying started the whole thing. Zimmerman was tired of calling and reporting suspicious people only to have the police be too late in getting there and no-one being arrested.
