what kind of connections? Like he has dirt on someone so that's why he's still here? That's laughable.
Dirt isn't a connection. Dirt is leverage. Connections are personal relationships, and yes, in practically every field, if you are close with the right people, you will be kept well past your "sell by" date.

And his peerS aren't racking up a bunch, Nick Saban has racked up a bunch.
His peers are other SEC coaches. Richt has been at UGA since 2001 - i.e., 13 seasons. In that time, SEC teams have won 8 out of 13 possible titles. Auburn - 1, LSU - 2, Florida - 2, Alabama - 3. Two of UGA's bigges rivals (Auburn and Florida) account for almost 25% of the titles won during his tenure.

That's stupid
How many players have been suspended and/or dismissed? Quite a few. Given that the school holds its players to more stringent requirements than its main competitors, discipline issues have an outsized impact.

liiiikee....not scoring a TD on every play?
Liiiiike stupid penalties, liiiiike abysmal special teams play, liiiiike poor tackling, liiiiike utterly predictable play calling

Every cfb team ever struggles with execution..in every game
Yes, and most don't keep their coaches for 13 seasons when they do.

also silly.
Yeah, because Richt's teams have never looked gassed against lesser opponents. The fans have never been told that "this year, they're working their asses off" only to see that our opponents always just seem to have a bit more endurance, a bit less flab, and an extra gear that we often don't.

Every team except bama under saban and UF under meyer has had to "rebuild" do some extent.
Yes, an occasional rebuilding year is to be expected every few seasons. Ongoing rebuilding years are not.

And hell even UF in 07 lost 4 games.
So 4 (or more) losses is your standard for a rebuilding season? By that metric Richt has had rebuilding seasons in 6 of his 13 years: 2001, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2013. Even discounting 2001 (his first year), he's rebuilt 5 times in 12 years - nearly a 50% rate (and 5 seasons out of 8 since 2006). He's working on a rebuilding decade.
