It is far too early to hang or anoint Smart.
I will say I am concerned, but temper my concern with a new coaching staff, a true freshman QB, middling Oline, etc.
I did call a couple of my buddies on Chaney when he was announced that were fans of teams where he coached, and they were at best lukewarm. Beamer needs to call his father to learn how to coach special teams. That aspect was painful to watch.

Why does everyone on this site see everything in absolutes? Smart hasn't done a job this year. That doesn't mean he won't improve. At this point, it's absolutely the exactly right time to judge his product through today. And it's not a good product.
You can blame Richt and the talent all you want but I'm pretty sure we have enough talent to beat Vandy. At home. These kids don't even look like they want to play for Smart.

My problem with the hire from the start was the fact that i didn't want an
OTJ coach. UGA should be a job were the HC doesn't have to
learn the basics as he goes.
WTF was going on at the end of the 1st half?First we decide to run out the clock on 1st down then we all of sudden decide we want to try to score. Then we decide we want to kick a FG then we change our mind and decide we want to throw a hail mary?
Where the Hell is the leadership? Yea, KS MIGHT learn from this game and eventually
become successful but I highly doubt it.

quote:You dumb count, that was probably one of the better coaching moves I've seen all year. They were out of TOs, had a kick block unit already out on the field and we rushed our offense out there and had them scrambling. There are plenty of things for you to bitch about today and you had to pick the dumbest thing possible to complain about. Moron.

LMAO! So it was brilliant stradegy to run the ball on 1st down and then decide
we wanted to actually try to score?
Jesus dude,we LOST the game with that clusterfrick. No telling where the ball would have been had we decided to pass the ball from the beginning especially with the way
Blankenship was kicking .WTF were our chances with the hail mary? And don't repeat your point...I get it with TO's but it meant nothing since Vandy was still able to get the correct defense on the field and actually coached the correct way to defend the hail mary.

It is by far too small a sample size to be passing any judgement.
