Sucks for him but not really surprising. He’s been here for like 3 years and has only played garbage time with a lot of young talent on the roster for the future. That injury his senior year of HS probably changed a lot.

I'm not worried about any of these four and five stars entering the portal. It would seem to me they're relying on their talent and not trying as hard as other players. The MVPs of the championship game were both low three stars who made an effort. Good luck to them all and I wish them the best somewhere else.

Could be they are trying as hard as they can but others are just better. No need to disparage them.

Exactly. Recruiting rankings are about projection. But what if the ranking services thought a guy would continue growing but he didn’t? Or a guy gets injured badly? They don’t all recover as well as Chubb. Hell, Clay Webb was a big time center prospect, but his body basically wouldn’t let him add enough weight. He couldn’t get beyond like 285 and he couldn’t do what our scheme needed him to do at that light of a weight.

I feel somewhat concerned about next year (felt the same last year tbh). Any concern heading towards in to 2023? We got young players that will step up but do we need to consider the portal more? Concerned about or 3 deep generally across the board in most positions.

Depends on SVP. Oline is thinner than I realized. We need 2-3 more studs. Definitely at least one more OT
