I often wonder about this myself. Unfortunately critical thinking went out the window a long dang time ago.

I think the pertinent question is what should be an appropriate contingency plan for LE if Zimmerman is acquitted. After Rodney King, if they're not quick to declare martial law and take some rioting thugs out ill be pissed off forever

is there any doubt that he wrongfully killed someone?

Yes. If you're being attacked and in fear for your life, you are privileged to use any level of force necessary to stop the attack. Whether or not someone is a douchebag doens't figure into it.

The prosecutors were stupid going for Murder 2; they should have simply gone for manslaughter based on an imperfect right of self-defense.

Not what happened. When Zimmerman told the 911 dispatcher that he was looking for the guy, the dispatcher said "You don't need to do that." Zimmerman then started back towards his car.

Everything that I had seen pointed to Zimmerman stalking the kid.

So that gives him a reason to get his head slammed on the ground?

little punk hadn't been trespassing

didn't his father live in that complex or his dad's girlfriend or something? Trayvon was from Miami and was visiting his father...i don't think that is trespassing...

Zimmerman is a dumb, fat, piece of shite who should have listened to the instructions of the 911 operator and stayed put until authorities got there...if police were failing at their duties, it was his legal right to press the issue with the police, not go all vigilante..

he got his arse whooped by a more athletic, fit teenage kid after trying to be a bad arse...this shite is his own fault, regardless of TM's background or upbringing...

GZ will likely walk because florida is incapable of landing a conviction on somebody who actually deserves it..

and he does deserve something for killing that teenage kid...when he should have been in his apartment waiting on the cops....
