Just rewatched the episode. A couple things to add, but first the confirmed in your f’n face Circle symbol that i missed on first watch

-blubbering weak Carol clutching Zosia like a frightened toddler

-they zoom out on the message she painted “COME BACK”

- and the only perfect circle shaped letter in the alphabet “O” circles the circle in the center of the cul de sac circle (the polar nucleii)

Parallels between Carol and Monousos this episode:

-They both fought against their enemy

- They both struggled in this new world

- But one tapped out

-and the other did not

BTW love the concept of Pluribus and it's Body Snatchers plot.Big fan of both versions but the 70's remake is one of my favorites

ETA I would also add many critics didn't get it when it first came out (70's version) but it's aged very well along with its reception from newer audiences and now considered one of the greatest Sci-Fi movies

Started watching a couple of weeks ago. So far, so good.

Not much to add or ponder this week. This episode was mostly Carol getting bored to death and giving up and begging for the others to come back because she is weak after all because she needs human contact. She broke

Traveling guy refused to break even when facing certain obstacles that were surely too much to overcome. He is the true fighter in this. I also liked the confrontation scene with him. He showed resilience.

I could see that going a few different ways

Does she tell the others about her eggs?

Do the others find out about her frozen eggs and she uses that to initiate a renewed fight against the others?

My suspicion is now that she is broken - she starts a path to become a willing joiner and the guy traveling to her either tries to stop her or helps her regain a renewed fight.


I did see the circles in the Come Back - as we have seen time and time again - circle symbolism - possibly related to (Female anatomy/eggs).


Excited for next week- got a solid episode setup for the upcoming finale

Maybe. But i respectfully disagree. Carol is still Carol

Remember the themes they are playing with here: Hive/Community vs Individuals

There’s imperfections on both sides. Carol’s breaking point simply showed that the “survivors” or whatever you want to call them cant just isolate and live out their lives.

Otherwise theres no show

People that call this a “filler” episode are missing out, but theyre not missing by a lot. Because the writers are simply narrowing the boundaries.
