re: OT (from the OT lounge) favorite bar in athens

Boar's Head easily #1. Also liked Gus', Sons of Italy on Lumpkin, and the short-lived Joe's on Baxter. Nowhere Bar is good too.

I’ve never barked at anyone in my life, but these were some super trashy gamecock fans trying to have some sort of hiphop mosh pit in what’s already small space that was packed. I had actually just bought a drink for a humble Carolina fan who couldn’t get the bar tenders attention before turning around and running my mouth which coincidentally has gotten me in to a lot of these situations over the years.

Odessey....not there any more but a great hole in the wall. TK Hardys was fun too.

I always liked the 8e’s bar. Magnolias and Hedges seem to be where I spend most of my time, when I’m out in Athens.

I went mainly to Uptown because my underaged neighbor somehow got in good with the owner so most nites we just tipped well and drank for free. Often I'd be waiting in line for the bathroom and a girl would be using our urinals because their bathroom moved too slow.
