And then he waited to cut off European trips in mid March, which led to many of the problems in the northeast. Around that same time, he finally put in a massive order of PPE.

just to clarify. was this around the time that Pelosi was telling people to not be racist by avoiding Chinatown??

We already know there is nothing that can convince you that the social distancing quarantine yourself at home strategies employed by the states worked at mitigating the spread

Are you really that dense? Of course social distancing mitigated the spread....holy frick. Where did anyone, including Trump, ever say that social distancing would not mitigate the spread?

Social distancing also worked for the regular flu and car accidents....

Those projections all assumed social distancing. They just also either over-estimated the severity and/or infectiousness of the virus itself or underestimated how many people actually have had it(and therefore how far along the US is along the "curve")

The data collection on this has been a disaster.

Wow....I thought for sure ....wow. That's shocking how bad they were. I mean, nobody should have expected to be spot on, but you would think if they project 250,000 we could expect somewhere in the range of 200,000 to 300,000.

Most of these projections included best case, worse case, and in between depending on the level of interventions done and other factors.

But the point is that none were anywhere close to being correct...or even in the ballpark.

Instead of using worthless trash words like hahahha comical, which implies you haven’t a damn clue, use meaningful words to let everyone you understand that all of these strategies you have railed against worked.

Isn’t it too soon to reach this conclusion?

Classic avoidance tactic, as you didn’t respond to any of the points.

Anyway. Pelosi being an idiot doesn’t absolve trump from being an idiot in any way.

How about Cuomo and Deblasio and the Governors in the Northeast? Did you see where they are planning to open up and eliminate social distancing in a few weeks?

Go on record. Are you for this or against this?

Show me the chart where best case was ever 35,000 deaths......

Now extrapolate what worst case should have been on their bullshite models that had no true or real data inputs with invalid analytics run against it.

Now tell me this should have shut down the world in October before anyone really knew about it because of a couple memos people wrote towards the end of January

We are coming in way below initial best case projections at every point in the timeline. By orders of magnitude in a lot of cases.

The November date was based upon a media report from an "undisclosed source" that the Pentagon had warned that a Pandemic was headed to the United States.

Defense official says media reports about November coronavirus intel assessment are false

The Pentagon recently came out and said they did a deep dive and found no such warning was ever given.

China's first case showed up in mid November, so nobody knew before mid November, and even then it was thought to be a minor thing. 1st known case of coronavirus traced back to November in China

there are zero salient points that you made to reply to

Trump took decisive action before anyone else

he addressed the Chinese Flu his State of the Union Address

the democrats were pushing their impeachment farce at the time

AND encouraging people to not quit going out

they called Trump a racist for his China travel bans

we are blessed to have a strong leader at this time

time to open everything back up

insofar as the Chinese Virus; Trump took stronger action than any other world leader

I give credit when he deserves it, he downplayed the shite put of this until he had no other choice

That is false

We're trying to make sure the hospitals don't get overrun and since we're at the peak I would expect things to slowly open back up in May

the risk of seeing our hospitals overrun is no longer a concern

It was a concern which is why we shut things down

Late April or May 1st at the latest, we're at the peak right now so give it some time to go back down. There are of course idiots on Reddit that want us shut down for the rest of the year which is asinine
