Sounds like an attack to me, albeit a mild one. I'm not sure why you felt the need to even make that comment. It was obvious he was honoring his parents. You come off as one of these people crowing about how the US is #1, when they've never even left their state.

You have to frame it that way in your mind for the same reason you have to consider me an untraveled unwordly Merica-#1 boogie man.

This way, you don't have to risk embarrassing yourself with an attempt to add an original thought or perspective to the conversation. INstead.......you can just waddle over and chalk everything up as you catching another backwards hick committing a thought crime attack.
