I was born and raised in Alabama and pronounced same as you, but the folks in this country crossroads near Guntersville say "croppy" too.
They looked at me funny for a year or 2 so I say croppy now when I'm down at the bait and tackle store.

Everyone here is a gun totin' American through and through. They've worked hard all their lives and will come up with their last dollar for anyone in need. A great bunch of folks here.

I had a buddy one time named Dilbeck (we all called him dildo though) who used to hang around during my dope days back in the mid 90's. Well, we all get on about an 8 day jag and dildo disappeared. Didn't see him for a day or two. Turns out he had been out in the yard collecting twigs off the ground. When we found him he was sitting at the kitchen table with this huge pile of twigs, methodically breaking each one apart and swearing to God and everything holy that they were all full of fiber optic wires from where the government had been bugging us and tracking our every move. Swore there were operatives in the trees and on top of the house watching us, and got pissed because no one would help him go get more sticks.

No, Jefferson. These folks here hate the fedral gubmint and what they're doing.
I worked at the polls here and The Kenyan didn't get but about 15 or 20 votes out of almost 400. Both times. We know most of those voters and don't say too much around them.
The sheriff here said he will uphold the Constitution and not some presidential order. Made that statement to the paper and TV news.

They're not using sticks. That's ridiculous. Aside from established government surveillance through the camera on your i-pad, home computer, etc.....their next step is through something your power company calls "smart-meters".
And, whatever you do........when they come to install it, don't film them with a video-camera........
