Broke ground a while back, but recently the tenants have been released. Nevertheless, it's the same cookie cutter shite that pops up everywhere. So far these have been announced:

I'm pretty disappointed. I was hoping we'd get some cool stores but frick it.

Oconee county doesn't give a frick about how much useless bullshite they create or what kind of traffic problems become of that corridor, it's an Athens problem that pays dues to Oconee county.
If I were mayor, I'd form a secret operation to burn down the Eagle Tavern and shoot up all of the window dressing in downtown watkinsville, with bullets purchased from Dick's.

Yes. Right off the Oconee Connector on that side of Epps Bridge. The movie theatre is supposed to be really nice. Also the petsmart is going to be good, pet supplies plus sucks.

Yep. It's off of Oconee Connector. Probably won't be finished for another year or so though.

The state of Georgia, the federal government, and Gwinnett county are spending millions and millions on fixing 316 into Barrow.
And Barrow is fricking it up by putting up all their bullshite, and Oconee too.

Do you know anything about this, other than the money being spent? Obviously they are trying to reduce traffic congestion... but there is really nothing going on in Barrow County in terms of fixing this traffic problem. The worst is the Loganville Hwy intersection. How will this impact my drive to Athens for games? Will it have an impact on my tailgating? Does a Petsmart have any impact on recruiting? (I hope not).

We don't have a single one of these motherfrickers in Calhoun. Except an Old Navy at the Outlet Mall.

What I'm more concerned with is when those stores move, what's going in its place? Athens is going to look like a one-horse town with all these vacant buildings.
