Read a article this morn that Kevin Wilson accepted the head coaching job at Tulsa . Anyone heard any rumors if he will stay for playoffs or bolt on them ?

Doesn’t matter. We will beat the shite out of them with or without him.

I’m sure he is leaving for Tulsa asap. Maybe not 10 years ago, but with the new transfer portal and NIL and early signing days, you have to be in place to keep players and find other talent quickly….then convince some kids from other schools not to sign early and come visit you….or keep the current commits.

Also, OC at OSU is just a puppet and information gatherer for Day. He does the play calling anyway

Except that Lanning stayed the whole way. And that was only 1 year ago.

Dan Lanning actually play called for us. Also, there wasn’t a specific transfer portal window last year, like this year (started yesterday). Dan Lanning was also allowed to be recruiting and stuff for Oregon while preparing the Dawgs for the CFP.

I am talking specifically about an OC that doesn’t play call, going to a smaller school like Tulsa, when we have what we have today.

As I stated, I don’t think Wilson, in his situation, leaves early 10 years ago.

Either way, it doesn’t matter…Wilson was a prep guy and didn’t call plays as OC. I’m sure Hartline and Frye will step right into that role and provide the same advice Wilson did. Only thing might be Wilson’s position coached could take a small hit

and also, one of the many reasons AU did not hire him prior is because Kirby wanted to stay as Bama through the end of the playoffs and AU did not like that.

Well that was a good call! Another in a long line of AU fails.
