Yeah UF starting field position was at midfield most of the day. Punting didn't help at ALL!

Looked like they were having him do pooch punts to keep Callaway from returning a long one. However, it doesn't work if you are giving them the ball at the 50.
Either Ramsey was incapable of pulling that off, or it was just a bad, bad plan. However, had Callaway returned one or two long punts back for TD's we would have been screaming about kicking the ball to Callaway.

Remember, Florida has a pretty terrible offense, yet they completed >50% of 3rd down conversions.

Florida averages 50.4% completion on 3rd downs, so we held held them to exactly 50%.
Florida averages 29.4 points per game and we held them to 24.
Our defense did enough to win that game if we had an offense worth a crap. Well, I suppose our offense IS a crap.

It's so bad that even averaging about 30 yards per punt isn't even brought up much.

Ramsey averaged 35 yds on 3 punts. Long averaged 41 yards on 5 punts.

I thought the D played well. They set the tone with a nice PIC on UF and I did not see them let up for the entire game. Our O put them in some very bad spots and the D held up for the most part and limited the damage. The first UF TD was not good. If we had tackled the ball carrier, UF would have had a field goal try vs a TD. The D did let UF convert some long 3rd down plays but overall, I was satisfied.

It's hard to tell how good anyone is on O with the awful line we have. Eason made some nice plays from scrambles that moved the ball but he was running for his life for most of the game. 21 yards rushing is absolutely deplorable. I get our line sucks but Chaney has to figure out a way to get Sony and Chubb the ball with some creative play calling? I don't know... Delayed pass to Chubb\Michele in the flat.... ?. Something... Anything. We had a nice opportunity for a long pass and Eason under threw the ball. That could have been a huge momentum play.

UF D is legit. UF's O is almost as awful as our O. Thank God too or this game could have been very ugly. UFs play calling was not the greatest either and their QB is average at best. Overall, with just a few improvements on our side... The most important being an O line... We would have had a decent shot at winning.

wrong.

he averaged 32 too.

Ramsey was doing some stupid shite with his punts per his coach.

He was doing much better last year with his old style.

The boxscore says that Long averaged 32.0 on 5 punts and Ramsey averaged 32.0 3 punts.

That's almost unheard of on the college level? 32 fricking yards?!?!?! Worst punters/special teams in the history of CFB...

My mistake. Looked at longest punt and mistook it for average.
