Hell yeah he did; surprised he only had the one.

That pocket literally disintegrated right before him. While Murray is def one of the pussiest QB's in the SEC, NO ONE could do any better with that melt down up front. That gif will haunt me for a long time, and thats not even a SEC caliber D.

Yep. Murray makes mistakes, no doubt. I used to think Stafford made a ton of mistakes, too.

For me the two plays that aggravated me the most, was the first TD pass by Clemson . (first passing TD, second TD) They did a play action and Connor Norman bit on the fake. Boyd threw it to Watkins and he went 77 yards after Swann missed the tackle. It wasn't Swann's man, but Norman bit on the fake and Swann didn't tackle.

The second was the Seckinger TD. I think he ebat Norman again. Not picking on Norman...but it was his guy again. I THINK it might have been a play action again. I won't say those lost the game. No way of knowing. Clemson might have driven the ball down the field and scored anyway.

Well he did throw a pretty boneheaded interception. I don't think that was a result of bad blocking.

No, it wasn't because of blocking. We had a TE going from left to right. Clemson's defensive end dropped back into coverage and Murray didn't see him. In fairness, you really don't see defensive ends drop back into that deep of coverage very often.

fair assessment, I agree. Pre snap it would have seemed that play would work, but the zone blitz got him. I'm was more pissed we kept running between the tackles on damn near every run play. Had'em with the toss sweep and only ran it twice.

I don't want to get totally negative so maybe it was the noise, as christopher has said, that really fricked them up.

If only there was some way to simulate a noisy environment in practice, then that might be something a team could prepare (and have a plan) for. Naaah, that's just fantasy....

Just think back have you ever known UGA to get up and play to there potential the first game of the season. I don't think they ever have while Richt has been here. GO DAWGS

I have gotten really really tired of use losing these opening games b/c we aren't "ready". And this ultimately comes back to Richt! Its the coaches responsibility to have us ready for each game, and apparently Richt, cannot do this for the 1st game of the year, or even 2nd (usc)!

Richt, if you can coach up the kids and have them ready for the 1st game of the yr, then why not be like the rest of the SEC and play a freakin cupcake for the 1st game to get everyone caught up to game speed, etc??

CLemson is a damn good team, but frick we shouldn't have ever lost that game! We had it won, but we always make stupid mental mistakes (holding calls, delay of game, etc). I wonder if a saban team makes these many mistakes in a game?? i doubt it

I have to agree. I don't know if they just felt like we could run up the middle, or what the deal was.

And what indicates to you that they were not ready?

I guess, what I am asking, is there are a lot of reasons a team loses.

1. They aren't ready. this indicates they have no idea what type offensive/defensive formations their opponent comes out in. They are not prepared for the type plays will be run, etc.

2. Lack of experience

3. Poor play calling

4. Simply out manned

5. Out coached- the pother team consistently makes adjustments in formations, play calling, personnel groups on the field, etc.

I keep hearing people say Georgia is unprepared, but I am not sure what they mean by that. In your opinion, how was Georgia unprepared?

First off, we have we ever won a big game to open up the season with Richt? Clemson, Boise, and OKst comes to mind.

Where we prepared in those games? We have more talent, so that shouldn't be the problem. The play calling is half the problem as well. Why must Bobo insist on running the ball up the middle with Marshall? He is the type of back that you want to get to the outside and turn the corner, but I never saw a designed run for Marshall to the outside. I saw 2 for gurley and 1 went for a td and the other was a long gain as well!

Also, when the stadium is loud as can be and the players can hardly hear each other, then why must the offense always keep looking to the sideline after lining up in formation, to receive the play? Then Murray has to yell to the players what the call is. Its j ust a bad situation, where you should just call the play in the huddle where everyone can hear a lil bit better.

Its just stuff like this, where we are hardly ever ready. And this ultimately comes down to coaching. ex, g atkins was never really that dominate at uga, but now in the NFL he is prob the best DT in the game. I'm sure most of this is b/c he received better coaching. Same with T Jennings, and many other dawgs in the NFL.

D'ya rekkon we should just issue Clowney a UGA jersey since he will be spending so much time in the pocket with Murray?
