If LD won’t do see if Kevin Hart can play his character from Hard (with Will Ferrell)

Larry David has too much natural warmth. Need someone more humorless and cold and naturally befuddled for main character

Also, I figured luscious clay for more of the New Yorker ugly neurotic Jew type.

Then I guess I’ll sign off on the Tom Hanks black jeopardy character, if those are the parameters.

Those are only out west. It’s the moon-eyed people you have to look out for in GA but I think they’re only in the mountains and only come out at night (obviously).

He needs a catch phrase. He will say it one time per episode and the studio audience will first go “ oooooooooh (then laugh) followed by a strong applause”

I’m thinking it will be

NO EXCUSES SUCKA!!!!

For dawgirl, I m thinking that Zoe gal that played the love interest in Elf, she's very pouty, older, and can sell the Waffle House uniform.

Interestingly there is a lady at my local waffle house that reminds me of Zoey Deschenell, but her character is more like her role in that shitty chick flick with McConaughey. The one with Sarah Jessica Parker. She's got huge blue eyes and a deadpan delivery. "here's your waffle, hope it's the best waffle ever," kind of sarcastic. This works.

A plus casting.

Doug saying “Sucka”? I don’t think he’s got that in him. Maybe “ NO EXCUSES BUBBA”

Let’s get the soundtrack and character theme music going too. Music always gets the ball rolling

Driver 8 is good suggestion, but let’s use the new Jason Isbell version on that. (the woke by sneakers too)

I'm feeling a Tuesdays Gone vibe for Zooey at the WaHo on the outskirts of JAX.

Wont say "sucka" but says "ain't down with"

This is a complex character. Writers have their work cut out for them.

Dawgirl was a waitress, at the only joint in town

She had a reputation, as a girl who'd been around

Down Main Street after midnight, with a brand new pack of cigs

A fresh one hanging from her lips, a beer between her legs

She'd log on to the e-sewer

to meet with all her e-friends

The road goes on forever

And the party never end

Dawgirl is a good person, I would believe. Just having fun with her character in the movie which is slightly exaggerated to get views. Aka we get rich

If we want to make Daw a blonde, and make her more musical, I think we could go with Jenette McCurdy, who played iCarly's sidekick "Sam" on Nickalodeon, and was a country singer in Nashville signed to Capitol Nashville and EMI.

quote:

Jennette McCurdy got her start in child acting, which by her late teen years had brought her success (she starred in Nickelodeon's hit show iCarly and her own spin-off, Sam & Cat). She went on to star in the Netflix series Between, and had a short-lived country music career with Capitol Records Nashville. Despite her outside success, McCurdy felt ashamed of 90% of her resume and ultimately unfulfilled, so she turned to alcohol, but since that didn't work, she quit acting and began pursuing writing/directing in 2017. She has written/directed a pilot and four short films. Her work has been featured in/on The Hollywood Reporter, Short of the Week, Florida Film Festival, Salute Your Shorts, and many more. She has written articles for Huffington Post and the Wall Street Journal. Her one-woman show “I’m Glad My Mom Died” had a sold-out run at Lyric Hyperion Theatre. She hosts a podcast called “Empty Inside”, where she speaks with guests about uncomfortable topics.

We could get her really cheap. I'm second guessing the Zooey Deschenel call.

I think this one is Jennette McCurdy all day long.

I think we could Ruth her up real good, as in Ruth from Ozark.
